The World Outreach Church Ministry Sunday School was founded by Minister Julie Meade twenty two (22) years ago when they first started under the Mt. Calvary Holy Church of America under Bishop Samuel Chandler and Dr. Alfred Owens. Until the year 1994 a separation took place and our church became interdependent under WOCM. Minister Julie Meade continued the Sunday school single handedly having treats, hampers, vbs, game shows etc. and the Sunday school grew from forty (40) to ninety (90) children and beyond. After we changed church facilities on three (3) occasions Minister Julie Meade held the Sunday school for eight (8) consecutive years. Through her heavy travelling we had to appoint a president to run the Sunday school. There and then Lizanne Belcon was the first trained, qualified president of the Sunday school under Pastor Meade in which she had two (2) teachers assisting her because of the great crowd and response. At that time sister Nellie Telesford was one of the teachers in training and received the full Sunday school course from Pastor Meade which made her qualified as the Sunday school teacher. Lizanne Belcon served for two years as the Sunday school president. After following her husband as they departed into new ministry, the mantel fell on Sister Nellie Telesford who was eager and anxious because she had a genuine love for children. Sister Nellie has been involved in Sunday school for the past eleven years where she holds the position of Sunday school president for the past nine (9) years. For the past five (5) years she has been assisted by her daughter Wendy Telesford who herself has a genuine love for children and has proven to be the best teachers that has been able to produce children of legacy in Pastor Meade’s vision. What Nellie and Wendy loves to see is children graduating from Sunday school and being advanced to the youth ministry and their teaching being transparent and practiced of what was taught in the Sunday school classes. The committee and leadership of World Outreach Church Ministries hereby commend Nellie & Wendy as they work hard in Ministry to see Pastor Carl Meade vision, come to pass.
