Testimony

A testimony of God’s Mercy, Love and Grace.

To those of us who know Carl Meade, the man, the husband, the father, the Pastor will know that God has called, appointed and anointed him to bring people to their divine purpose by feeding them with the Word of God.  It takes an encounter with God’s Word to receive revelation that will take us to the next level.   Great Word is great advice and when applied brings about change in our lives, power and love.  Both Pastor Meade and his wife started this walk of righteousness from zero, with nothing. Thank God that through it all God has really been with them to lead them through the valleys of the shadow of death to their wealthy place.

The following is Pastor Carl Meade’s testimony of how God had His hand upon his life even from the womb.  He did the good, the bad and the ugly and lives to tell about it. His is a life of service to others sharing the things that he did right in the little island of Trinidad, the lives he touched and even those he destroyed before coming to Christ. And how God has called him to change people direction from the destructive path he once walked to the path of righteousness for His name’s sake… Jeremiah 1:5 states that before I God formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I sanctified you: I ordained you to the nations. This is Carl Meade’s life, a testimony of God’s goodness……..

Born of a Spiritual Baptist mother and a father that was a( Mason in the Loudge Cult) and his Parents were not married.

Carl Meade was born on 11th July 1955 to Spiritual Baptist parents. He came from humble beginnings his parents Thomas  Meade and Amedina Harry  were no simple people.  His mother worked as a domestic help and his father was a gardener and had much land and prosperity,  They did their best with what little they knew. Had they known Christ the way Carl knew him now, however, things may have been different for his family.  He was the youngest of 14 (fourteen) siblings, 6 of which were girls.  Interestingly, even though both parents were Spiritual connected, young Carl was baptize in the Roman Catholic faith from a young age, much like many West Indians back then, closeness to religion offered a sense of belonging and stability in a world of not enough.  His encounter with deity, although superficial, was the beginning of some form of focus on the Creator, God. Not a personal relationship, just a knowledge that God does exist and that some amount of reverence has to be given to this supernatural being.  He was confirmed in the Catholic tradition at the age of Nine.

The last of nine mouths to feed Carl had to be tough to survive.  From a young age he mastered the art of boldness and wore a rough facade as a cloak of defense in a world where displays of affection were interpreted as signs of weakness.  Schooled in survival of the fittest at the university of hardknocks, he played hooky cutting classes which led to his early initiation to street life.  It was on these escapades that he learned street smarts and other life experiences.  Boldness well ingrained, with bulldog tenacity he would go after the impossible with fearless determination.  Early signs of a gift God would latter use for his own honour and glory.  Needless to say, growing up without godly influence his gifting became perverted and he became stubborn and rebellious living a reckless, evil life.

Yet even in the midst of the harsh realities of  this young man’s life lay a special tenderness and love for his mother and father.  At age twelve he was deeply moved by his mother’s hardship.  His father and mother  was separated when he was at the age of 5 years old, and his father  never really took care of his mother because he was never around and she had to worked as a maid to take care of 5 children that left with her when they seperated. It was all she knew.  Neither was his father in any better position financially, because he became an alcolaholic,  As a teen entering manhood determined to rescue his mother, Carl began playing with cards and had master the games in playing cards and he bagan to us that   kind of life style to handle large sums of money and was force out of his mothe home because he became REBELOUS and had to hit the streets for servival, and this left the home with one less mouth to feed.

as years gone by his mother did fell ill and had to be at home, on Carl hearing this told her that she did not have to work again and he would take care of her from then on.  She did immediately quit her job but waited to see what he would do. After consistently bringing in money that was enough to take care of the household, say $600.00 to $900.00 per week his mother felt a sense of ease and never had to return to work again in life.

Gambling, scheming, pimping and big dollars rolling in, young Meade’s life became a series of partying, drinking, smoking, frolicking and drugs.  It was wine woman and song.    He and friends from his school days went up and down the country doing every ungodly thing under the sun but even though he was caught up in the world, somehow his gift of boldness always made him shine.  It only goes to show how God-given talents can put you in the path of favour.   Young Meade landed a big job with a construction company after demonstrating his problem solving skills working at a Point Lisas Plant in south Trinidad.  Due to the solution that he gave he was given leadership of a group of men and offered a permanent position.  However unacquainted with the drudgery of a routine 8 to 4 job, young Meade was not to be tied down to anything permanent. No roots were allowed to develop on his journey which was foreordained by God. A search which took him through many more tunnels and caverns, but eventually landed him in the place where God would deal with him directly.

Then came the death of his father at age 94 and Dix months later his mother at age 79.   The one constant in his life gone, wounded in mind and spirit the grieving Meade became even more notorious.  Threatening men’s lives and finding solace in the arms of multiple women hoping to fill a void only God could fill; having more than one woman at one time was a regular thing. Where he lived in San Fernando, he is still feared today for the things he did in his youthful years before he was saved.  Despite his warped twisted lifestyle Meade went on to become a registered contractor honing eighteen skills in building construction under his belt. A contradiction it may seem, but God in his wisdom would latter use the knowledge and skills he acquired for kingdom advancement.

Influenced more by a desire to acquire worldly possessions and to see his mother comfortable he was never attracted to occultism and satanic involvements as a means to an end. Aside from his upbringing which dictates a certain amount of traditionalistic, fervor,  generally his rebellion centered around fleshly will and carnal desires which in itself is demonic.   Yet, he somehow managed to keep away from things dealing with spiritual or outright satanic influences.  Prosperity was always his main goal in life to have the best of everything at the expense of his own soul. Pastor Meade was an evil man.  He was into construction and had a legitimate cover as a contractor, but he was also into gambling, pimping, stealing, fast-talking and drugs.

One of his past associates described him as fast moving, a man always on the go. One time in particular, he recalled they set a man’s house on fire and left him tied up inside.  All the while, talking and taunting him to make sure they did not kill him.  Another time they locked an associate in a house for three days with a woman. Although Pastor Meade was reckless, he never really had a cold-blooded desire to destroy life even though it was never really reflected in his actions.   Any inner gift that God gave him was mainly used for reasons of self-comfort no matter what it took. The things that he went through in his childhood like not having enough food, wearing hand-me-down clothes and the absence of a father made him despise poverty and lack.  He determined that these things would not ever happen to him again.  He left many casualties along the way.  It took many people’s feelings being hurt, men and women alike since making sure he was comfortable materially was all he knew for survival.
